Online Ticketing System - Jungleland

Jungleland Adventure Theme Park is one of the largest family tourist destinations in the Sentul area of Bogor, welcoming thousands of visitors from various regions every year. Previously, ticket purchasing relied mostly on physical counters and third-party sales partners, which often caused long queues, especially on weekends and during school holiday seasons.

Triwikrama was trusted to build an online ticketing system that lets visitors purchase and validate tickets digitally, reducing reliance on manual processes on-site. The project included developing a booking system integrated with various ticket types — from regular admission tickets and specific ride packages to group tickets for school and corporate visits.

We built this system using Laravel as the backend foundation, chosen for its stability in handling complex business logic such as daily ticket quota management, QR code validation at entry gates, and integration with various digital payment methods commonly used by Indonesian consumers. Every ticket purchased online generates a unique QR code that staff can scan directly on-site, significantly speeding up visitor entry.

One of the biggest technical challenges was ensuring the system remained stable when handling sudden transaction spikes, such as during national holiday promotions or seasonal marketing campaigns. We designed the system architecture with scalability in mind, including database query optimization and transaction queuing mechanisms, so the booking experience stayed smooth even when visitor volume increased drastically in a short period.

Beyond the visitor-facing booking system, we also built a real-time sales reporting dashboard for Jungleland's management team, allowing them to directly monitor ticket sales figures, daily revenue, and visitation trends. As a result, Jungleland now has an efficient digital ticketing system that significantly reduces visitor queue times while giving their operations team better data visibility.
